Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fan assembly to the radiator by guiding the lower tabs into the corresponding hooks on the radiator.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the fan assembly bolts to the radiator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  4. Position the CRFM assembly onto the lower mounts.

  6. Install the CRFM mounting brackets to the radiator support.
  7. Install the CRFM mounting bracket bolts to the radiator support.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  9. Install the radiator outlet hose to the radiator.
  10. Install the radiator outlet hose clamp to the radiator.

  12. Install the radiator inlet hose to the radiator.
  13. Install the radiator inlet hose clamp to the radiator.
  14. Attach the 3-phase cables and Generator Control Module.

  16. Install the CRFM closeout panel to the condenser.
  17. Install the CRFM closeout panel retainers to the condenser.

  19. Install the battery box inlet air duct.

  21. Clip the transmission cooler lines to the fan assembly.

  23. Clip the engine wire harness to fan assembly.

  25. Install the electrical connector to the fan motor.
  26. Install the front fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Redline) or Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Standard) .
  27. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (Static Fill)  or Draining and Filling Cooling System (GE 47716 Fill) .
