Installation Procedure

  1. Install the SA91112T  seal protector. See Special Tools .

  3. Install the wheel drive shaft in the vehicle.
  4. Remove the SA91112T  seal protector. See Special Tools .
  5. Remove the J 2619-01  , the J 29794  , and the J 45341  . See Special Tools .
  6. Install the lower control arm to the knuckle. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement .
  7. Install the outer tie rod end for the steering gear to the knuckle. Refer to Rack and Pinion Outer Tie Rod End Replacement .
  8. Install the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement .

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  10. Install the NEW wheel drive shaft nut.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 205 N.m (151 lb ft).

  11. Inspect the transmission fluid level and add fluid if necessary. Refer to Transmission Fluid Checking .
  12. Install the wheel house liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  13. Install the tire and wheels. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  14. Lower the vehicle.
