2	Install a scan tool. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. With a scan tool, observe the Battery 1 parameter in the Ignition data list of the BCM. Does the scan tool indicate the battery voltage is greater than the specified value?	8.8 V	Go to Step 5	Go to Step 3
3	Measure the voltage across the battery terminals. Compare the battery voltage with the Battery 1 parameter in the Ignition data list of the BCM. Are the voltages within the specified value?	1.0 V	Go to PSD SIE TITLE Error: SIE linked to empty Cell ID 37781	Go to Step 5
4	Test the battery voltage and ground circuits of the BCM for a high resistance. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems. Did you find and correct the condition?	-	Go to Step 7	Go to Step 5

7	Use the scan tool in order to clear the DTC. Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC as specified in the supporting text. Does the DTC reset?	-	Go to Step 2	System OK
