Removal Procedure
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2002 GMC Yukon XL, 2002 GMC Yukon, 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2002 Cadillac Escalade EXT. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Remove the headliner. Refer to HEADLINER REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the IP trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) UPPER .
- Remove the driver's side door sill plate. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT - FRONT .
- Remove the hinge pillar trim moldings. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - HINGE PILLAR .
- Disconnect the cable connector from the antenna inner coupling (1).
- Remove the cable clips (2) from the roof and pillar.
- Remove the cable from the body harness conduit (1).
- Remove the cable clips (2) from underneath the IP.
- Disconnect the cable connector (3) from the VCU.
- Attach a wire to the end of the cable connector (3) in order for the coaxial cable to be pulled from underneath the IP.
- Remove the wire from the coaxial cable.
- Remove the cable from the vehicle.
