Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2002 GMC Envoy XL, 2002 GMC Envoy, and 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the seat to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
    IMPORTANT: Do not move or adjust the seat adjuster release handle or the seat back until all 4 fastener attachments have been made. Do not tighten the front seat mounting bolt until the remaining 3 mounting nuts have been tightened.
  2. Install the front seat mounting bolt. Do not tighten.
  3. Install the three front seat mounting nuts on the floor studs.

    Tighten:  Tighten the front seat mounting nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

    Tighten:  Tighten the front seat mounting bolt to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).

  4. Connect the electrical harness. Clip the harness to the seat bracket.
  5. Enable SIR. Refer to ACTIVATING SYSTEM in SIR.
  6. Install the seat mounting fastener covers.
