Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2003 GMC Envoy XL, 2003 GMC Envoy, and 2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the horn switch (2) to the steering wheel (3).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Connect the horn contact plate (2) captured screws (1, 4) to the steering wheel (3).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 5.5 N.m (50 lb in).

  3. Install the horn plunger to the steering column.
  4. Install the inflator module. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (DRIVER-SIDE) in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in Air Bag Restraint Systems.
