Retained Accessory Power (RAP) Inoperative (XUV)

Retained Accessory Power (RAP) Inoperative Diagnostic Test (XUV)

1 Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Retained Accessory Power (RAP)? Go to Step 2  Go to Diagnostic System Check - Retained Accessory Power

  1. Close all of the doors.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Turn OFF the ignition.
Do all the RAP functions operate during the RAP time?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3 
3 Do only the power roof or/and mid-gate glass exhibit this symptom? Go to Step 5  Go to Step 4

  1. Install a scan tool. Select diagnostic circuit check and then class 2 power mode.
  2. Close all of the doors.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Wait 5 seconds then turn the ignition OFF.
  5. Wait the time-out for RAP.
Did the scan tool display the RAP power mode then time-out, and display Off-Awake power mode?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 6

  • Turn Off the ignition.
  • Disconnect the overhead console switch assembly electrical connector A.
  • Disconnect the power roof module (PRM)
  • Disconnect the BCM connector 3.
  • Test the RAP supply voltage circuit for an open between BCM connector and PRM connector and between BCM connector and overhead console switch connector. Refer to Circuit Testing andWiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 8  Go toMidgate Power Window Inoperative in Body Rear End or in Power Roof Inoperative in Roof
6 Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the body control module (BCM). Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 8  Go to Step 7

IMPORTANT: Perform the module setup procedure, if required.
Replace the BCM. Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.Did you complete the procedure?
Go to Step 8  -

  1. Reconnect all disconnected components.
  2. Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 3
