Schematic Reference: Theft Deterrent System Schematics 
1 Did you review the Theft Deterrent Description and Operation and the necessary inspections? Go to Step 2  Go to Symptoms - Theft Deterrent 
2 Arm the theft deterrent system.
Does the security indicator remain steady for 10 seconds and then flash?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3 
3 Inspect the security indicator circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 7  Go to Step 4 
4 Replace the security indicator. Refer to LED Indicator Replacement - Vehicle Security System 
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 7  Go to Step 5 
5 Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the anti-theft module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 7  Go to Step 6 
6 Replace the anti-theft module. Refer to Theft Deterrent Control Module Replacement .
Is the repair complete?
Go to Step 7  -
7 Operate the system to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 2
