1 Did you review the Power Windows Description and Operation? Go to Step 2  Go to Symptoms - Doors 
2 Verify that the all power windows inoperative fault is present.
Do the power windows operate normally?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the driver window switch.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Probe the 30 A power fuse voltage circuit of the driver window switch with a test lamp that is connected to a good ground.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
Go to Step 4  Go to Step 5 
4 Connect a test lamp between the 30 A power fuse voltage circuit of the driver window switch and the ground circuit of the driver window switch.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
Go to Step 8  Go to Step 9 
5 Test the 30 A power fuse voltage circuit of the driver window switch for a short to ground or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 12  Go to Step 6 
6 Connect a test lamp between the 10 A gauge fuse voltage supply circuit to the power window relay and a good ground.
Did the test lamp illuminate?
Go to Step 11  Go to Step 7 
7 Test the 10 A gauge fuse voltage supply circuit to the power window relay for an open or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 12  Go to Step 8 
8 Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the driver window switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you find and correct the condition?
Go to Step 12  Go to Step 10 
9 Repair the open in the ground circuit. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 12  -
10 Replace the driver window switch. Refer to Power Window Switch Replacement .
Did you complete the replacement?
Go to Step 12  -
11 Replace the power window relay. Refer to Relay Replacement (Within an Electrical Center) or Relay Replacement (Attached to a Wire Harness) in Wiring Systems.
Did you complete the repair?
Go to Step 12  -
12 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?
System OK Go to Step 2
