Schematic Reference: Instrument Cluster Schematics 
1 Did you review the Instrument Panel, Gages and Console Description and Operation and perform the necessary inspections? Go to Step 2  Go to Symptoms - Instrument Panel, Gages and Console 
2 Verify that the chime is inoperative.
Does the system operate normally?		 Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems Go to Step 3

  1. Connect a fused jumper wire to the LH front door jamb switch connector.
  2. Connect the other side of the fused jumper wire to ground.
  3. Set the conditions to cause a audible warning.
Does the chime sound?		 Go to Step 4  Go to Step 5 
4 Replace the LH front door jamb switch. Refer to Door Jamb Switch Replacement - Front in Lighting Systems.
Is the repair complete?		 Go to Step 8  -

  1. Disconnect the ignition switch connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper wire from the ignition switch connector cavity 1 to cavity 2 of the same connector.
  3. Set the conditions to cause an audible warning.
Does the chime sound?		 Go to Step 7  Go to Step 6 
6 Replace the multifunction alarm. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement .
Is the repair complete?		 Go to Step 8  -
7 Replace the ignition switch. Refer to Ignition Switch Replacement in Steering Wheel and Column-Standard.
Is the repair complete?		 Go to Step 8  -
8 Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
Did you correct the condition?		 System OK Go to Step 3
