Shift Lever - Assemble - Off Vehicle

  1. Install the shift lever seal (2) onto the shift lever assembly (4).
  2. Install the shift lever assembly (4).
  3. Install the shift lever screw (3) into the shift lever assembly (4). Tighten the screw to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).
  4. Slide the shift lever seal (2) down the shift lever assembly (4).

  5. Install the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle  .
  6. Enable the inflatable restraint steering wheel J module. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
