Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System .
  2. Remove the seat belt retractor trim cover. Refer to SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT - LEFT FRONT or SEAT BELT BUCKLE REPLACEMENT - RIGHT FRONT .
  3. Loosen the inflatable restraint side impact sensor fasteners (2).

  4. Remove the inflatable restraint side impact sensor (1) from the center pillar.
  5. Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) (3) from the inflatable restraint side impact sensor yellow 2-way wiring harness connector (2).
  6. Disconnect the inflatable restraint side impact sensor wiring harness connector (2).
