Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Insert the ignition lock cylinder through the upper shroud.
  2. Align the lock cylinder retaining tab and the position tab with the slots in the lock housing.
  3. Push the lock cylinder into the ignition lock cylinder case completely.
  4. Install the LOWER trim cover. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS REPLACEMENT   . 
  5. Install the tilt wheel lever.
  6. Install the steering wheel. Refer to STEERING WHEEL REPLACEMENT   . 
  7. Install the inflator module. Refer to REMOVAL & INSTALLATION (DRIVER-SIDE)  in Airbag.
  8. Enable to SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  in Airbag.
  9. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE  in Battery.
