Fuel Filler Tube: Removal

- Drain the fuel tank below the level of the fuel filler hose. See FUEL TANK DRAINING Remove the fuel filler pipe-to-fuel fill pocket bolts. Raise and support vehicle. Remove the fuel filler pipe shield. See Figure.
- Remove the fuel filler pipe attaching nut to wheelhouse stud. Remove the fuel filler pipe attaching screw to wheelhouse panel. Remove the fuel filler pipe bracket bolt. See Figure. Disconnect the vent pipe. Remove the fuel filler hose from the fuel tank. Remove the fuel filler pipe and hose.
