Test Q: Fasten Safety Belt Chime Inoperative
- If audible warnings system operation check has been performed, go to next step. If audible warnings system operation check has not been performed, perform audible warnings system operation check. See AUDIBLE WARNINGS SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Unbuckle driver's side seat belt. Measure resistance between ground and seat belt switch harness connector Red wire terminal. If resistance is less than 2 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 2 ohms or more, go to step 4 .
- Disconnect chime audio alarm module 7-pin harness connector. Measure resistance in Gray/Red wire between chime audio alarm module harness connector and seat belt switch. See Figure . If resistance is 2 ohms or more, go to step 7 . If resistance is less than 2 ohms, go to step 8 .
- Measure resistance between ground and seat belt switch Red wire terminal. If resistance is less than 2 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 2 ohms or more, go to step 6 .
- Replace seat belt buckle. After repair, perform AUDIBLE WARNINGS SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Repair open in Red wire between seat belt switch and ground. Ground point is located in rear center of trunk. After repair, perform AUDIBLE WARNINGS SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Repair open in Gray/Red wire between seat belt switch and chime audio alarm module. After repair, perform AUDIBLE WARNINGS SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Replace chime audio alarm module. After repair, perform AUDIBLE WARNINGS SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
