  2. Unbuckle driver's side seat belt. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Measure voltage between ground and instrument cluster connector C3 by backprobing terminal No. 11 (Black/White wire). See Figure . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, go to step  4 .
  3. Measure voltage between ground and instrument cluster connector C3 by backprobing terminal No. 12. If battery voltage exists, go to step  5 . If battery voltage does not exist, go to step  7 .
  4. Repair open in Black/White wire between instrument cluster and junction block. After repair, perform AUDIBLE WARNINGS SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  5. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect instrument 16-pin harness connector C1. Disconnect driver's side front seat belt switch 2-pin harness connector. Seat belt switch is part of set belt buckle. Measure resistance in Gray/Red wire between seat belt switch terminal No. 2 and instrument cluster harness connector C3 terminal No. 2. See Figure . If resistance is less than 2 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 2 ohms or more, go to step  9 .
  6. Replace seat belt buckle. After repair, perform AUDIBLE WARNINGS SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  7. Using a fused jumper wire connected ground, backprobe instrument cluster connector C3 terminal No. 12 (Gray/Red wire). If seat belt indicator illuminates, go to next step. If seat belt indicator does not illuminate, go to step  10 .
  8. Replace instrument cluster. After repair, perform AUDIBLE WARNINGS SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  9. Repair open in Gray/Red wire between seat belt switch and instrument cluster. After repair, perform AUDIBLE WARNINGS SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
