Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE
  1. Assemble the upper trim cover (2) and secure by using 2 Torx® head screws (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

  2. Install the lower trim cover to the upper trim cover.

  3. Assemble the lower trim cover (2) and secure by using 2 pan head tapping screws (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in).

  4. Install the steering column into the vehicle. Refer to Steering Column Replacement 
  5. Install the steering wheel onto the steering column. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement 
  6. Install the tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle 
  7. Enable the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to ACTIVATING SYSTEM in SIR.
