Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM (L61) in Engine Cooling.
  2. Use the J 38185  in order to reposition the heater hose clamps.
  3. Disconnect the outlet heater hose (2) from the outlet port of the engine.

  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .
  5. Use the J 38185  to disconnect the outlet heater hose from the heater core.
