Removal & Installation (Side Impact)

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. For driver side impact air bag module, see ZONE 7  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.. For passenger side impact air bag module, see ZONE 9  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM..
  2. Remove applicable seat back cover far enough to gain access to side impact air bag module mounting nuts. Remove side impact air bag module mounting nuts. Remove side impact air bag module from seat back. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip from side impact air bag module connector. Disconnect connector.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten side impact air bag module nuts so specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. For driver side impact air bag module, see ZONE 7  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.. For passenger side impact air bag module, see ZONE 9  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM..
