Test T: Lights On, Chime On With Ignition In Run

  1. Inspect fuse No. 39 (10-amp) in instrument panel fuse block. If fuse is not open, go to next step. If fuse is open, go to step  3 .
  2. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect multifunction alarm module 8-pin harness connector. Multifunction alarm module is located behind instrument panel, above blower motor. Using test light connected to ground, probe multifunction alarm module harness connector terminal D2 (Pink wire). If test light illuminates, go to step  4 . If test light does not illuminate, go to step  5 .
  3. Replace fuse No. 39 (10-amp). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If fuse opens again, go to step  6 . If fuse does not open again, go to step  2 .
  4. Inspect for poor terminal contact at multifunction alarm module harness connector terminal D2 (Pink wire). If multifunction alarm module harness connector is okay, replace multifunction alarm module. After repairs, go to step  7 .
  5. Repair open in Pink wire between instrument panel fuse block and multifunction alarm module. After repairs, go to step  7 .
  6. Repair a short to ground in Pink wire between instrument panel fuse block and multifunction alarm module. After repairs, go to next step.
  7. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Reconnect all connectors and reinstall components that were removed. Perform audible warnings system check. See AUDIBLE WARNINGS SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
