Fasten Seat Belt Reminder

Seat belt, ignition key or lights on alarm applies voltage to driver seat belt switch terminal "B" (Black/White wire) when ignition switch is in RUN and START positions. When driver-side seat belt is released, driver seat belt switch closes, grounding terminal "B" (Black/White wire). Seat belt, ignition key or lights on alarm senses a voltage drop at seat belt, ignition key or lights on alarm harness connector terminal A2 (Black/White wire). When driver-side seat belt is fastened, driver-side seat belt switch will open. Seat belt, ignition key or lights on alarm senses voltage at seat belt, ignition key or lights on alarm harness connector terminal A2 (Black/White wire). Seat belt, ignition key or lights on alarm sounds fasten seat belt reminder chime for 4-8 seconds, or until seat belt is fastened when voltage exists at seat belt, ignition key or lights on alarm harness connector terminal D2 (Pink wire), or when seat belt switch ground is sensed at seat belt, ignition key or lights on alarm harness connector terminal A2 (Black/White wire).

The 4-8 second chime sound period starts at beginning of ignition cycle and does not repeat during that ignition cycle. Seat belt, ignition key or lights on alarm controls fasten belts indicator. Seat belt, ignition key or lights on alarm applies voltage to instrument cluster harness connector terminal D10 (Yellow wire), and turns on fasten belts indicator when driver-side seat belt switch is closed (driver-side seat belt is released) or voltage exists at terminal D2 (Pink wire). When driver-side seat belt switch is open (driver-side seat belt is fastened), seat belt, ignition key or lights on alarm does not apply any voltage to instrument cluster harness connector terminal D10 (Yellow wire), turning off fasten belts indicator.
