Reduced Or No Mode & Range Shift Operation

  1. If this diagnostic was referred from another test, go to next step. If diagnostic started here, perform FUNCTION TEST  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING, then go to next step.
  2. Ensure harness connector and pins to motor/encoder are clean and not corroded and connector is properly installed. Check all circuits between motor/encoder and TCCM for grounded or open condition. Repair as necessary. After repairs, see FUNCTION TEST  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. If circuits are okay, check for DTCs. See RETRIEVING CODES  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. If no DTCs were retrieved, replace TCCM.
