Parking Lights & Taillights Do Not Turn On

  1. Remove headlight switch. See HEADLIGHT SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using test light, backprobe between Orange wire of light switch connector and ground.
  2. If test light does not light, check for open or short to ground in Orange wire between TAIL fuse and light switch. If Orange wire is shorted to ground, check for open in TAIL fuse. Repair or replace as necessary.
  3. If test light comes on, backprobe between Brown wire of light switch connector and ground using test light. Turn parking lights on. If test light does not light, replace light switch.
  4. If test light comes on, remove Orange wire from light switch connector and check for bent terminal pins at light switch. Also check for open in Brown wire between light switch and front marker lights and front parking/turn lights. Ensure Black ground wire connections are clean and tight. Repair or replace as necessary.
