Oil Temperature Gauge Always Indicates Cold

  1. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Disconnect oil temperature sensor connector. Connect jumper wire between Dark Green wire of oil temperature sensor connector and ground.
  2. If oil temperature gauge indicates hot, replace oil temperature sensor. If oil temperature gauge does not indicate hot, check for open or poor connection in Dark Green wire between instrument cluster and oil temperature sensor. If Dark Green wire is okay, replace instrument cluster.
