Oil Pressure Gauge Always Indicates High

  1. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Disconnect oil pressure sensor connector. Connect jumper between Tan wire of oil pressure sensor connector and ground.
  2. If oil pressure gauge indicates low pressure, replace oil pressure sensor. If oil pressure gauge remains high, check for poor connection or open in Tan wire between oil pressure sensor and instrument cluster. If Tan wire is okay, replace instrument cluster.
