CCM Pass-Key(R) Programming Procedure

Central Control Module (CCM) is programmable in order to be matched to a set of 2 ignition keys having PASS-Key(R) resistor pellets. When programming, be sure to use BOTH customer keys. Using same key twice will not work. CCM will not accept other key if its pellet resistance value is slightly different and key has not been programmed into CCM memory.

NOTE: DO NOT  allow more than 10 seconds between any of following steps, or programming sequence will stop. If programming is interrupted, procedure must be repeated from beginning.
  1. Insert first key into ignition lock cylinder and turn ignition switch to RUN position, with engine off. Turn key to LOCK position and remove key. CCM PASS-Key(R) programming mode has now been entered.
  2. CCM will display command to insert one of 2 keys into ignition lock cylinder by flashing SECURITY light. This light will flash number of times corresponding to key number being programmed. Example: when CCM flashes SECURITY light once, insert key No. 1 into ignition lock cylinder, but DO NOT  turn. CCM is determining resistance value of key's resistor pellets and storing value in memory.
  3. If key No. 1 is a valid PASS-Key(R) system key, CCM will command next key to be inserted by flashing SECURITY light twice. Quickly remove key No. 1 and insert key No. 2 into ignition lock cylinder, but DO NOT  turn.
  4. If key No. 2 is valid, CCM will finish programming sequence and will indicate this by turning off SECURITY light. If an invalid key is detected, CCM will stop programing mode and a trouble code will be set and stored. Key is invalid if resistance values are too high or low.
