Codes 62-63 (PASS-Key(R) Programming Resistance High Or Low)
- Check for Code 52 or 53 before performing test. If either or both of these codes are set, correct problem and clear codes. Check if Code 62 or 63 resets. If either code resets, go to next step. Code 62 will set if key No. 2 resistance is greater than upper resistance limit defined by key No. 1. Code 63 will set if key No. 2 resistance is less than lower resistance limit defined by Key No. 1.
- Use PASS-Key(R) Interrogator (J-35628-A) to determine key code number of keys No. 1 and 2. If key code numbers are not same, use PASS-Key(R) interrogator to determine key code number of key No. 3. Replace key that does not match others. Begin Central Control Module (CCM) PASS-Key(R) programming sequence again.
- If key code numbers match, wiggle wiring and connections to check for intermittent faults in White/Black wire and Purple/White wire between CCM Green connector and ignition lock cylinder. See Figure . If White/Black wire, Purple/White wire and connections are okay and key resistor contacts are clean, replace CCM. When repairs are completed, clear codes and verify operation.
