Disabling SIR System

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove AIR BAG (SIR) fuse. Remove left side lower trim panel. Disconnect Yellow 2-pin SIR connector near base of steering column. See Figure .
  2. When AIR BAG (SIR) fuse is removed and ignition is turned on, INFL REST warning indicator light will be on. This is a normal function and does not set a code or indicate a fault.
