Stabilizer Bar: Installation

  1. Unload torsion bar tension. See Figure . Count exact number of tool turns for reassembly reference.
  2. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install NEW bushings on stabilizer bar. Ensure split in bushing faces toward front of vehicle. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table at end of article. Lower vehicle. Check wheel alignment and adjust ride height. See ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS/PROCEDURES article in the WHEEL ALIGNMENT Section.
