Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine oil. Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement
  2. GM5876673
    NOTE:

    Left side shown, right side similar.

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [4x]

  3. Front Compartment Air Deflector Retainer- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Remove [2x]
  4. Front Bumper Fascia Lower Stiffener Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (3) - Remove [6x]

    Front Compartment Air Deflector- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Remove [2x]

    Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  7. Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Retainer (2) - Remove
  8. Support the front cradle shear plate using a suitable jack.

    Front Cradle Shear Plate Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

  10. Front Cradle Shear Plate Nut (2) - Remove [2x]
  11. Front Crossmember Brace Bolt (3) - Remove [8x]

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Remove [2x]

  13. GM5877068

    Position the left and right side wheelhouse liners (1) away from the front cradle sheer plate (2).

  14. Remove the front cradle sheer plate (2) from between the front bumper fascia center air deflector and the driveline and front suspension cradle and lower it from the vehicle.

    Retaining Clip (1) - Remove

  16. Engine Oil Cooler Pipe (2) @ Engine Oil Cooler Adapter - Remove
  17. GM5876182

    Retaining Clip (1) - Remove

  18. Engine Oil Cooler Pipe (2) - Remove
