Preliminary Procedure Raise the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
1	Differential Carrier Drain Plug CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Draining Procedure Clean any dirt from around the differential drain plug. Remove the drain plug (1) from the differential. Filling Procedure Install the drain plug (1). Fill the differential with axle lubricant. Approximate Fluid Capacities Check the differential fluid level. it should be even with the bottom of the fill plug hole to no lower than 2 mm (0.08 in) below the opening. Rear Axle Lubricant Level Inspection Lower the vehicle. Tighten 50 N.m (37 lb ft)

Differential Carrier Drain Plug

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Draining Procedure

Clean any dirt from around the differential drain plug.
Remove the drain plug (1) from the differential.

Filling Procedure

Install the drain plug (1).
Fill the differential with axle lubricant. Approximate Fluid Capacities
Check the differential fluid level. it should be even with the bottom of the fill plug hole to no lower than 2 mm (0.08 in) below the opening.
Rear Axle Lubricant Level Inspection
Lower the vehicle.

Tighten
50 N.m (37 lb ft)
