Installation Procedure

  1. GM5892388

    Rear Brake Hose (1) - Install

  2. GM5892384

    Remove the plug from the rear brake caliper inlet.

  3. Rear Brake Hose Fitting Gasket (3) - Install NEW [2x]
  4. Rear Brake Hose (2) @ Rear Brake Caliper - Install
  5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Rear Brake Hose Fitting (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  7. GM5892385

    Remove the cap from the rear brake pipe outlet.

  8. Rear Brake Pipe Clip (3) - Install
  9. Rear Brake Pipe Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  10. Rear Brake Hose Clip Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  11. GM5892383

    Rear Wheel Speed Sensor (3) @ Wiring Harness Retainer (4) - Install

  12. Wiring Harness Retainer (4) - Engage
  13. { If equipped } Rear Disc Brake Pad Wear Sensor (1) @ Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Install
  14. { If equipped } Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Engage
  15. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (JE5, J6G) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J55) 
  16. Check for brake system leaks.
  17. Install the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  18. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
