Installation Procedure

  1. GM5892567

    Maneuver the front brake pipe (2) into the vehicle.

  2. Remove the plug from the front brake hose inlet.
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Front Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  4. GM5867672
    NOTE:
    • Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.
    • Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

    Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Install

  5. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  6. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Install

    Front Brake Pipe Retainer (2) - Install

  8. Remove the cap from the front brake pipe union.
  9. Front Brake Pipe Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Air Conditioning Sealing Washers Oil or Lubricant Exposure Caution .

    Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Seal (1) - Install NEW

  11. Air Conditioning Condenser Hose Seal (2) - Install NEW
  12. Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (3) - Install
  13. Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Hose Nut (4) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Clip Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  15. GM5854960

    Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Seal (3) - Install NEW

  16. Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) - Install
  17. Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    NOTE:

    Some components not shown for graphic clarity.

    Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Seal - Small (2) - Install NEW

  19. Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) - Install

    NOTE:

    Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Seal - Large (3) - Install NEW

  21. Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose (2) - Install
  22. Air Conditioning Condenser Hose Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Auxiliary Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (1) - Install

    Retainer Spring (3) - Engage

  25. Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose (2) - Install
    26. CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

  26. Charge Air Bypass Valve Hose Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (2) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

  28. Turbocharger Wastegate Actuator Vacuum Tank Solenoid Valve Tube (1) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

    Install the NEW positive crankcase ventilation fresh air tube (2) and secure the 2 positive crankcase ventilation tube connectors (1).

    Oil Filler Cap - Remove

  31. Intake Manifold Cover (2) - Install
  32. Intake Manifold Cover Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  33. Oil Filler Cap - Install
  34. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  35. Bleed the brake system. Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (JE5, J6G) , or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (J55) 
  36. Install the left front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  37. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  38. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
