Installation Procedure
Install a NEW brake pedal retainer (1) to the brake pedal.
- Ensure the locking tabs on the brake pedal retainer are fully engaged in the brake pedal.
Using an assistant to reposition the brake master cylinder - with power brake booster and electronic brake control module, install the brake pedal assembly (1).
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Brake Master Cylinder Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Brake Pedal Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Ensure correct clutch pushrod eyelet orientation and the retainer clip (1) is fully engaged.
Engage the brake pedal (1) to the brake master cylinder push rod by pushing inwards.
- Ensure the brake pedal retainer is secured by lightly pulling rearward on the brake pedal (1).
Battery Positive Cable (2) - Install
- Battery Positive Cable Retainer (3) - Install
- Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Wiring Harness (1) - Install
- Retainer (2) - Install [3x]
- Connect the electrical connectors. (3)
Reposition the instrument panel outer air outlet inner duct (1).
- Air Distributor Duct Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Serial Data Gateway Bracket (2) - Install
- Serial Data Gateway Module Bracket Bolt (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Connect and position the wiring harness.
- NOTE:
Typical wiring harness shown. Individual wiring harnesses may differ based on option content.
Connect the electrical connectors. (1)
Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Deflector (2) - Install
- Instrument Panel Tie Bar Brace Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
Floor Front Air Outlet Duct - Left Side Outer (2) - Install
- Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Connect and position the wiring harness.
- Instrument Panel Knee Bolster (1) - Install
Data Link Connector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
- Connect the electrical connector.
Connect the electrical connector.
- Instrument Panel Center Trim Pad (1) - Install
- Return the steering column to its original position.
Connect the electrical connector.
- Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator (1) - Install
Install the tabs into the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator (1).
Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Retainer (1) - Install
- Instrument Panel Insulator Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Instrument Panel Insulator Nut (3) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Attach the hood primary latch release cable end retainer to the hood primary latch release cable handle (1).
Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover - Left Side (1) - Install
Connect the electrical connector.
- Instrument Panel Lower Airbag - Driver Side (2) - Install
- Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
Remove the plug from the clutch master cylinder reservoir hose (2) outlet.
- Clutch Master Cylinder Reservoir Hose (2) - Install
- Remove the plug from the clutch master cylinder pipe (3) inlet.
- Clutch Master Cylinder Pipe (3) @ Clutch Master Cylinder - Install
- Retainer (1) @ Clutch Master Cylinder - Engage
- Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling .
- Calibrate the brake pedal position sensor. Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration
- Bleed the clutch hydraulic system. Hydraulic Clutch System Bleeding
