Installation Procedure

  1. GM5471818

    Install the charge air cooler (2) to the charge air cooler bracket (3).

  2. Charge Air Cooler Bracket- Upper (1) - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

    Auxiliary Radiator Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

  4. Auxiliary Radiator Bracket Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  5. Radiator Upper Insulator (3) - Install [2x]

    Install the right side charge air cooler assembly (1) to the vehicle.

    Charge Air Cooler Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

  8. Charge Air Cooler Upper Bracket Nut (2) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Install the radiator outlet hose retainer (3) to the radiator outlet hose connector at the right side charge air cooler.

  10. Install the radiator outlet hose (2) to the right side charge air cooler.
  11. Radiator Outlet Hose Clip (1) - Install

    Install the auxiliary radiator inlet hose retainer (1) to the auxiliary radiator inlet hose connector at the right side charge air cooler.

  13. Install the auxiliary radiator inlet hose (2) to the right side charge air cooler.

    Auxiliary Radiator Front Duct (1) - Install

  15. GM5873051

    Front Bumper Impact Bar (2) - Install

  16. Front Bumper Impact Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [8x] - Fastener Specifications
  17. Install the wiring harness.

    Horn- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x]

  19. Horn Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Cooler Bracket Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

  21. Auxiliary Radiator Front Inlet Duct- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    { If equipped } Forward Range Radar Bracket (2) - Install

    1. Forward Range Radar Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
    2. Connect the electrical connector.

    Auxiliary Radiator Duct Retainer- Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

    Auxiliary Radiator Duct Retainer- Right Side (1) - Install [3x]

    Front Bumper Fascia (1) - Install - Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (without Blackwing) , or Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (with Blackwing) , or Front Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (with Blackwing CFV, CFZ)

    Auxiliary Radiator Rear Duct- Right Side (1) - Install

    Auxiliary Radiator Duct Retainer- Right Side (1) - Install [3x]

    Front Wheelhouse Liner- Right Side (3) - Move into position

  29. Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer- Right Side (2) - Install
  30. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt- Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Front Splash Shield- Right Side (3) - Install

  32. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt- Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  33. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer- Right Side (2) - Install
  34. Install the right front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector- Outer (2) - Install

  36. Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Bolt- Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Bumper Fascia Lower Reinforcement- Right Side (2) - Install

  38. Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Bolt- Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Bolt- Right Side (3) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

  40. Front Bumper Fascia Lower Stiffener Bolt- Right Side (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  41. Front Bumper Fascia Bolt- Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications
  42. Lower the vehicle.
  43. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 GE 47716) 
  44. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
  45. Perform the forward range radar sensor module learn. Radar Sensor Module - Long Range Learn
