Installation Procedure

  1. GM5591895
    CAUTION:

    Phenolic spacer must be present to prevent galvanic/corrosive reaction and/or excessive temperature conduction between engine mount bracket and engine mount. Replace mount if phenolic spacer is missing or damaged. Failure to ensure phenolic spacer is intact and not damaged can lead to premature failure of engine mount and/or engine mount bracket.

    Ensure the phenolic spacer (3) remains in place.

  2. Engine Mount (2) - Install
  3. Use the screw jack to lower the engine onto the engine mount.
  4. Remove the screw jack and the block of wood.
  5. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

    Front Compartment Air Deflector (2) - Install

  7. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  8. Front Compartment Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  9. GM5396496

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  10. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Install [2x]
  11. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  12. GM5396453

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  13. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Install [2x]
  14. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  15. GM5396438

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Retainer (2) - Install [2x]

  16. Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications
  17. Lower the vehicle.
  18. GM5750845

    Start the 2 NEW engine mount bolts (2) by hand.

  19. Engine Mount Bolt (2) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  20. Engine Mount Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  21. Connect the battery. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
