Installation Procedure

  1. GM5336818

    Engine Mount Bracket (2) - Install

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Engine Mount Bracket Bolt (1) - Install NEW and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  3. GM5336825

    Engine Wiring Harness (2) - Install

  4. Engine Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install [3x]

    CAUTION:

    Phenolic spacer must be present to prevent galvanic/corrosive reaction and/or excessive temperature conduction between engine mount bracket and engine mount. Replace mount if phenolic spacer is missing or damaged. Failure to ensure phenolic spacer is intact and not damaged can lead to premature failure of engine mount and/or engine mount bracket.

    Ensure the phenolic spacer (3) remains in place.

  6. Engine Mount (2) - Install
  7. Use the screw jack to lower the engine onto the engine mount.
  8. Remove the screw jack and the block of wood.
  9. Electrical Connector (1) - Connect
  10. Oil Filter - Install NEW and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  11. Remove the drain pan.

    Front Compartment Air Deflector - (1) Install

  13. GM5398001

    Front Compartment Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

  14. GM5398000

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  15. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Install and tighten
  16. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  17. GM5397993

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  18. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Install
  19. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  20. GM5397986

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications

  21. Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Retainer (2) - Install [2x]
  22. Lower the vehicle.
  23. GM5420683

    Start the 2 NEW engine mount bolts (2) by hand.

    24. CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

  24. Engine Mount Bolt (2) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  25. Engine Mount Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  26. Fill the engine oil to the proper level with NEW engine oil.
  27. Connect the battery. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
