Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Cadillac CT4. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Clean the repair area (1) with Fusor 703 cleaner or equivalent.
- Apply structural adhesive epoxy, Lord Fusor™ 127EZ or equivalent, to fascia at mating surface (1) according to manufacturer's directions.
Using the alignment tabs/outline, install the rear parking assist alarm sensor bracket (1) to the fascia.
- Use care to avoid excess material squeeze out around rear parking assist alarm sensor bracket (1).
- Lightly clamp, tape or apply a weight to the rear parking assist alarm sensor bracket (1) to hold it in place until adhesive cures.
- Allow adhesive to cure according to manufacturer's directions.
- NOTE:
Ensure the silicone decoupling ring is installed on the sensor to avoid sensor failure.
Insert the parking assist alarm sensor (1) into the housing.
- Connect the electrical connector.
Rear Bumper Energy Absorber (3) - Install
- Rear Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Bolt (2) - Install [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Rear Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Clip (1) - Install [4x]
- Connect the rear parking sensor connector.
- Install the wiring harness to the absorber.
- Connect the low frequency rear bumper antenna connector.
Rear Bumper Fascia (1) - Install - Rear Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (without Blackwing) , or Rear Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation (with Blackwing)
