Installation Procedure

  1. GM5430410

    Air Conditioning Condenser Bracket (2) @ Engine Radiator (3) - Install [2x]

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Air Conditioning Condenser Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  3. GM5430398

    Radiator Lower Insulator (3) - Install [2x]

  4. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (2) - Install
  5. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Retainer (1) - Install

    Charge Air Cooler (2) - Install

  7. Charge Air Cooler Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Air Conditioning Condenser (1) - Install

  9. Air Conditioning Condenser Tube Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  10. Air Conditioning Condenser Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Cooler Fan (1) @ Engine Radiator - Install

  12. Engine Coolant Fan Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    With assistance, install the engine radiator, air conditioning condenser, charge air cooler and engine cooler fan (1) to the vehicle from below as an assembly.

    Engine Coolant Temperature Indicator Switch Connector (1) @ Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (2) - Connect

  15. Wiring Harness Retainer @ Engine Radiator - Install

    Radiator Outlet Hose (2) @ Engine Radiator - Install

  17. Radiator Outlet Hose Clamp (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Radiator Inlet Hose (3) @ Engine Radiator - Install

  19. Radiator Inlet Hose Clamp (4) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  20. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose (2) @ Engine Radiator - Install
  21. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clamp (1) - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type

    Install the right radiator air side baffle (1) by manipulating from between the vehicle components.

  23. Radiator Air Seal Retainer (2) - Install [2x]

    Install the left radiator air side baffle (1) by manipulating from between the vehicle components.

  25. Radiator Air Seal Retainer (2) - Install [2x]

    Wiring Harness Retainer (1) @ Radiator Air Side Baffle - Left Side - Install

    Refer to Air Conditioning Sealing Washers Oil or Lubricant Exposure Caution .

    Air Conditioning Condenser Hose Seal (2) - Install NEW

  28. Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) @ Air Conditioning Condenser - Install

    Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Seal (2) - Install NEW

  30. Air Conditioning Evaporative Connector Hose/Tube and Compressor Hose (1) @ Air Conditioning Condenser - Install

    Air Conditioning Condenser Tube Clip (2) - Install

  32. Air Conditioning Compressor Hose Nut (1) @ Air Conditioning Condenser - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube (2) @ Charge Air Cooler (3) - Install

  34. Retainer Spring (1) - Engage

    Front Wheelhouse Liner (3) - Install

  36. Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (2) - Install [4x]
  37. Front Wheelhouse Liner Screw (1) - Install and tighten [7x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Screw (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  39. Front Bumper Upper Fascia Screw (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
    1. If equipped with AWD:
      1. GM5421586

        Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Install

      2. Push Pin (1) - Install
      3. Engine Front Splash Shield Screw (2) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications
    2. If equipped with RWD:
      1. GM5421504

        Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Install

      2. Push Pin (2) - Install [2x]
      3. Engine Front Splash Shield Screw (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Tire Front Air Deflector (2) - Install

  41. Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  42. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

    Electrical Connector (4) - Connect

  44. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube (2) @ Charge Air Cooler (3) - Install
  45. Retainer Spring (1) - Engage
  46. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

    Charge Air Cooler Inlet Air Tube (2) @ Turbocharger (3) - Install

  48. Retainer Spring (1) - Engage

    Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube (2) @ Throttle Body (3) - Install

  50. Retainer Spring (1) - Engage

    Install the air cleaner (1) and air cleaner outlet duct (2) as an assembly.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (2) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

  53. Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Electrical Connector (4) - Connect [2x]

  55. Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (3) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  56. Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
  57. Wiring Harness Retainer (1) @ Air Cleaner Assembly - Install [4x]

    Engine Coolant Fan Electrical Connector (3) @ Forward Lamp Wiring Harness (4) - Connect

  59. Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Bracket (2) - Reposition
  60. Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Clip Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Radiator Upper Bracket (2) - Install [2x]

  62. Radiator Upper Bracket Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  63. Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install

    Radiator Air Upper Baffle (2) - Install

  65. Radiator Air Upper Baffle Retainer (1) - Install [7x]
  66. Raise the vehicle.

    Radiator Air Seal Retainer- Right Side (1) - Install

    Radiator Air Seal Retainer- Left Side (1) - Install

    Radiator Air Lower Baffle (2) - Install

  70. Radiator Air Lower Seal Retainer (1) - Install [6x]

    Radiator Air Front Lower Baffle (1) - Install

    Radiator Air Front Lower Baffle Retainer (1) - Install [3x]

  73. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
  74. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 GE 47716)
  75. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
  76. Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
