Installation Procedure

  1. GM5875767

    Engine Radiator (1) @ Cooling Fan Motor (2) - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Engine Coolant Fan Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

  3. GM5875765

    Air Conditioning Condenser (1) - Install

  4. Air Conditioning Condenser Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  5. GM5875764

    Install the engine radiator intercooler heat exchanger (1) to the engine radiator.

  6. Radiator Upper Bracket Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Radiator Air Side Baffle - Right Side (2) - Install

  8. Radiator Air Side Baffle Retainer (1) - Install [3x]

    Radiator Air Side Baffle - Left Side (1) - Install

  10. Radiator Air Side Baffle Retainer (2) - Install [3x]

    Radiator Lower Insulator (1) - Install [2x]

    Install the engine coolant fan module radiator (1) with assistance.

    Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose (2) @ Engine Radiator - Install

  14. Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose Retainer (1) - Engage

    Position the forward lamp wiring harness (2) into position.

  16. Wiring Harness Retainer (3) @ Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Bracket - Install
  17. Electrical Connector (1) @ Engine Cooler Fan - Connect

    Radiator Upper Bracket- Right Side (3) - Install

  19. Radiator Upper Bracket Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  20. Wiring Harness Retainer (1) - Install

    Radiator Upper Bracket- Left Side (2) - Install

  22. Radiator Upper Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Refer to Air Conditioning Sealing Washers Oil or Lubricant Exposure Caution .

    Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Seal - Small (2) - Install NEW

  24. Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger (1) - Install

  48. Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [8x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications .

    Air Cleaner Assembly (2) - Install

  52. Air Cleaner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  53. Install all retainers and wiring harnesses to the air cleaner assembly as necessary.
  54. Connect the 2 mass airflow sensor electrical connectors.

    Auxiliary Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (4) - Install

    56. CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

  56. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (3) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
  57. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct (2) - Install
  58. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Bracket - Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install [2x]

  60. Install the forward lamp wire harness retainers to the left and right side front end sheet metal cross brace brackets.

    Front End Sheet Metal Diagonal Brace Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [6x] Fastener Specifications

    Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace- Left Side and Right Side (3) - Install [2x]

  63. Front Suspension Strut Upper Mounting Nut- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  64. Front End Sheet Metal Cross Brace Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications
  65. Install all wiring harness retainers to the front end sheet metal cross braces.

  67. Radiator Air Upper Baffle Retainer (1) - [2x] Install

    Radiator Air Upper Baffle- Upper (3) - Install

  69. Radiator Air Upper Baffle Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  70. Radiator Air Upper Baffle Retainer (1) - Install [5x]

    Transmission Control Module (1) @ Engine Control Module Bracket (2) - Install

  72. Engine Control Module Bracket (2) - Install

    Engine Control Module Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Engine Control Module (1) - Install

  75. Connect the electrical connectors.

    Radiator Surge Tank Outlet Pipe (3) - Install

  77. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clamp (4) @ Engine Radiator - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  78. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clip (2) @ Engine Control Module Bracket - Install
  79. Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose Clamp (1) @ Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose - Engage - Hose Clamp Replacement Guidelines - Spring Type
  80. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 GE 47716)
  81. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  82. Recharge the refrigerant. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
  83. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
