Installation Procedure

  1. GM5324686

    Engine Coolant Heater Wiring Extension Harness (3) - Install

  2. Engine Coolant Heater Cord Retainer (2) @ Front Bumper Impact Bar - Install [3x]
  3. Engine Coolant Heater Cord Retainer (1) @ Front Compartment Inner Side Rail - Install

    Engine Coolant Heater Cord Retainer (1) @ Engine Control Module Bracket - Install [2x]

  5. Engine Coolant Heater Cord Retainer (2) @ Front Compartment Inner Side Rail - Install

    Radiator Air Front Lower Baffle (1) - Install

  7. GM5423335

    Radiator Air Front Lower Baffle Retainer (1) - Install [3x]

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector (1) - Install

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Retainer (3) - Install [2x]

    10. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  10. Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications
  11. Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screw (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screw (1) - Install and tighten [10x] - Fastener Specifications .

  13. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  14. Connect the engine coolant heater wiring extension harness to the front license plate bracket.

    Front License Plate Bracket (2) - Install

  16. Front Bumper Fascia Extension Rivet (1) - Install NEW [4x]

    Engine Coolant Heater Cord Retainer (2) @ Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger - Install

  18. Engine Coolant Heater Cord Retainer (1) @ Engine Wiring Harness - Install

    Engine Coolant Heater Cord (1) @ Engine Coolant Heater (2) - Connect

    Install the generator (1) with the lower generator mounting bolt (2).

    Refer to Fastener Caution

    Generator Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

  22. Generator Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Auxiliary Generator Battery Jumper Cable (2) - Install

  24. Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) @ Generator - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

    Radiator Inlet Hose Bracket (2) - Install

  27. Radiator Inlet Hose Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Install the air conditioning compressor hose bracket into position.

  29. Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube Clip Bracket Bolt (4) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube (2) @ Charge Air Cooler (3) - Install

  31. Retainer Spring (1) - Engage

    Front Wheelhouse Liner (3) - Install

  33. Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer (2) - Install [4x]
  34. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Screw (1) - Install and tighten [3x] - Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Replacement (without Blackwing) , or Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Replacement (with Blackwing)

  36. Front Bumper Fascia Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Replacement (without Blackwing) , or Front Bumper Fascia Center Air Deflector Replacement (with Blackwing)

    Engine Front Splash Shield (3) - Install

  38. Engine Front Splash Shield Retainer (2) - Engage [2x]
    39. NOTE:

    Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.

  39. Engine Front Splash Shield Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Tire Front Air Deflector (2) - Install

    41. NOTE:

    Quantity of fasteners may vary based on option content.

  41. Front Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  42. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  43. Lower the vehicle.

    Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube (2) @ Throttle Body - Install

  45. Retainer Spring (1) - Engage

    Install the intake manifold cover (1).

    Using an appropriate tool, rotate the drive belt tensioner (1) counterclockwise and hold tension.

    Accessory Drive Primary Belt (1) - Install

  49. Slowly release tension on the accessory drive primary belt.
  50. Connect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
  51. Fill the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (L3B GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LSY with V03 GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 Static Fill) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (LF4 GE 47716)
  52. Inspect for coolant leaks.
