Installation Procedure

  1. GM5867019

    Engine Mount (1) - Install

  2. Lower the engine.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Engine Mount Nut (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

  4. Engine Mount Bolt (1) - Install NEW and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Turbocharger Exhaust Pipe Gasket (2) - Install NEW

  6. Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter (1) - Install

    Catalytic Converter Nut (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

    NOTE:

    A special anti-seize compound is used in the HO2S threads. The compound consists of liquid graphite and glass beads. The graphite tends to burn away, but the glass beads remain, making the sensor easier to remove. New, or service replacement sensors already have the compound applied to the threads. If the sensor is removed from an exhaust component and if for any reason the sensor is to be reinstalled, the threads must have anti-seize compound applied before reinstallation.     Install and tighten the heated oxygen sensor (1) using a suitable tool. Fastener Specifications

  9. Connect the heated oxygen sensor electrical connector.

    Install and tighten the heated oxygen sensor (1) using a suitable tool. Fastener Specifications

  11. Connect the heated oxygen sensor electrical connector.

    Catalytic Converter Brace (2) - Install

  13. Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket Nut (1) - Install and tighten [5x] - Fastener Specifications

    Catalytic Converter Gasket (2) - Install NEW

  15. With the aid of an assistant, install the exhaust muffler (1).

    Exhaust Muffler Hanger Bracket Nut (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

    Electrical Connector (1) - Connect

    Exhaust Muffler (1) @ Exhaust Intermediate Pipe Insulator-Right Side (2) - Install [2x]

    Exhaust Pipe Clamp (1) - Tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Catalytic Converter Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Floor Panel Reinforcement (2) - Install

  24. Floor Panel Number 4 Cross Bar Reinforcement Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

    Underbody Rear Air Deflector- Right Side (5) - Install

  26. Underbody Rear Air Deflector Nut- Right Side (3) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  27. Underbody Rear Air Deflector Bolt- Right Side (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  28. Underbody Rear Air Deflector Nut- Right Side (4) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  29. Rear Wheelhouse Liner Bolt- Right Side (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Underbody Rear Air Deflector- Left Side (5) - Install

  31. Underbody Rear Air Deflector Nut- Left Side (2) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  32. Underbody Rear Air Deflector Bolt- Left Side (3) - Install and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications
  33. Underbody Rear Air Deflector Nut- Left Side (4) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  34. Rear Wheelhouse Liner Bolt- Left Side (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Rear Tire Front Air Deflector- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x]

  36. Rear Tire Front Air Deflector Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Install the front cradle sheer plate (2) between the front bumper fascia center air deflector and the driveline and front suspension cradle and raise into position.

  38. Ensure that the left and right side wheelhouse liners (1) are positioned in place under the front cradle sheer plate (2).

    Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Crossmember Brace Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [8x] - Fastener Specifications

  41. Front Cradle Shear Plate Nut (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  42. Front Cradle Shear Plate Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  43. Remove the jack.

    Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Retainer (2) - Install

  45. Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Front Compartment Air Deflector- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install

    Front Compartment Air Deflector Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (3) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

  48. Front Wheelhouse Liner Retainer- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x]
  49. Front Wheelhouse Liner Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications
  50. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  51. Remove the engine support fixture. Engine Support Fixture
  52. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks.
