NOTE:
The end of the bearing that has numbers stamped on it must face the J-44384 Bearing Installer, so that the numbers are visible when the bearing is installed.

Using J-36190 Universal Driver Handle (1), and J-44384 Bearing Installer (2), install the shift shaft bearing.

NOTE:
Bearings and Races are replaced as sets.

Using DT-8092 Drive Handle (1), and J-39435 Bearing Race Installer (2), install the main shaft bearing race (3).

Transmission Case Locating Pin (1) - Install [2x]

Apply sealant or equivalent to the threads of the transmission case fill plug (1), the manual transmission fluid temperature sensor (3) and the transmission fluid cooler pipe fittings (2). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Caution .

Transmission Fluid Cooler Inlet Pipe Fitting (1) - Install NEW and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Transmission Oil Filler Plug (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
Manual Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

CAUTION:
The H-pattern on the guide plate must face the extension housing. If the guide plate is installed incorrectly, then damage will occur.
