Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Brake Fluid Irritant Warning

CAUTION:

Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Caution

  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  2. Apply and release the brake pedal several times until the brake pedal becomes firm to deplete the power brake booster vacuum reserve.
  3. Air Inlet Grille Panel - Remove - Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement
  4. Remove and properly dispose of the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir.
  5. Brake Fluid Level Indicator Switch Electrical Connector - Disconnect

    Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Secondary Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Disconnect

  7. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Primary Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Disconnect

  9. Cap the brake pipe fitting to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.

    Brake Master Cylinder Nut (1) - remove [2x]
