Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement (LGX)

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Front Compartment Front Sight Shield Replacement 
  2. Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
  3. Reposition the radiator air upper baffle. Radiator Air Upper Baffle Replacement (LGX)Radiator Air Upper Baffle Replacement (LTA)
1 Hood Primary Latch Bolt [2x]
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
9 N.m (80 lb in)
2 Hood Primary and Secondary Latch

Procedure

  1. Mark the position of the hood latch with a grease pencil.
  2. Disconnect the release cable from the hood primary latch.
  3. Disconnect the connector harness from the upper tie bar.
  4. Align the hood primary latch if necessary.
