Installation Procedure
With the aid of an assistant, position the instrument panel tie bar assembly into the vehicle (1).
- Install the instrument panel wiring harness assembly to the position noted in the removal procedure.
- CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (3) - Install and tighten [2x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Instrument Panel Tie Bar Nut (2) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Instrument Panel Tie Bar Nut (2) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Air Distributor Nut (3) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
Instrument Panel Tie Bar Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [3x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
Instrument Panel Carrier (1) - Install - Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (UQH) Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (UQA, UQS)
Brake Pedal Assembly (1) - Install - Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement (LGX)Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement (LTA)
Body Control Module (1) - Install - Body Control Module Replacement
- Connect all electrical connectors.

Windshield Garnish molding (1) - Install - Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement [2x]
Heater Outlet Hose (3) @ Heater Core Tube - Install - Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Pipe to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube LGX)Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (At Heater Core Tube LGX)Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (Auxiliary Water Pump to Engine Front Cover Water Outlet LTA)Heater Outlet Hose Replacement (Heater Core Outlet Tube to Heater Inlet and Outlet Pipe and Radiator Surge Tank LTA)
Heater Inlet Hose (3) @ Heater Core Tube - Install - Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Pipe to Auxiliary Air Conditioning Evaporator Intermediate Tube LGX)Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (At Heater Core Inlet Tube LGX)Heater Inlet Hose Replacement (Heater Core Inlet Tube to Auxiliary Heater Inlet and Outlet Pipe LTA)
From within the engine compartment, install the heater and air conditioning evaporator and blower module bolt (1), securing the heater and air conditioning evaporator and blower module to the cowl panel.

Windshield Wiper Transmission (2) - Install - Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement
- Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static, LGX)Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716)Cooling System Draining and Filling (LTA Static)
- Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
- Inspect for coolant leaks.
- Inspect for refrigerant leaks.
