Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the instrument panel insulator panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side .
  2. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Replacement .

    Remove the bolts (1) securing the top of the instrument panel compartment to the instrument carrier.

    Disconnect the dampener (1) from the instrument panel compartment door.

    Release the instrument panel compartment door stops (1).

  6. Swing the door (2) down to access the fasteners on the bottom of the instrument panel compartment.

    Remove the bolts (1) securing the bottom of the instrument panel compartment to the instrument carrier.

    Remove the instrument panel compartment (1) secured by retainers to the instrument carrier.

  9. Disconnect the electrical connections.
