Preliminary Procedure Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
1	Two/Four Wheel Drive Actuator Bolt (Qty: 4) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 18 N.m (13 lb ft)
2	Two/Four Wheel Drive Actuator Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector.
3	Two/Four Wheel Drive Actuator Seal Procedure Use J-45278 seal remover and J-23907 slide hammer to remove the seal from the actuator. Use the J-44907 bearing installer to install the seal to the actuator. NOTE: Remove the seal from the actuator ONLY if seal replacement is necessary. Special Tools J-23907 Slide Hammer J-44907 Bearing Installer J-45278 Seal Remover For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
