Preliminary Procedures Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill L83 L86) Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill L83 L86) . Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Chevrolet and GMC)Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement (Cadillac) .
1	Radiator Outlet Hose Clamp (Qty: 3) Procedure Using BO-38185 hose clamp pliers, reposition the radiator outlet hose clamps. Special Tools BO-38185 Hose Clamp Pliers For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
2	Radiator Outlet Hose Retainer (Qty: 3) Procedure Remove the radiator outlet hose retainers from the engine coolant fan rear shroud and the radiator outlet pipe bracket.
3	Radiator Outlet Hose Procedure Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Inspect the cooing system for leaks.
