Removal Procedure

  1. Remove Steering Gear Steering Gear Replacement (AWD, LF3, NXC)
  2. Remove Turbocharger Heat Shield Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement (Front)Turbocharger Heat Shield Replacement (Rear)

    NOTE:

    Note the position of the turbocharger wastegate actuator arm retainer for re-installation.

  3. Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator arm retainer (1).
  4. Separate the turbocharger wastegate actuator arm (2) from the turbocharger.

  5. Disconnect the charge air bypass valve vacuum tube (1) from the turbocharger wastegate actuator. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  6. Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator fasteners (2).
  7. Remove the turbocharger wastegate actuator (3) from the vehicle.
